Our adventurers Rabbert, Lyria, Illidan, and Cetiri found themselves locked in a celestial confrontation within the sacred confines of Aelith's resting place. Facing Archeron, they endured a trial by light and were able to defeat the guardian, though not without risk. Rabbert's life was held together by only a divine thread, one which was woven back into the fabric of the living by Ioun. The victory unmasked Derek's ambition for Athium, a substance of legends capable of great creation and destruction. Through a tense conversation, Derek revealed he was promised power to help Ellisar - a prominent high elf recognized as a member of The Veiled Court - obtain the ore. After the revelation, a group of Gemgori entered the tomb to confront the adventurers for their deceit. Compelled to preserve the sanctity of Aelith's tomb, the adventurers forged a sacred pact with the Gemgori, vowing to face the corrupted Aurox as atonement. As the session drew to a close, Cetiri's cast an invisibility spell to secretly acquire a handful of the Athium without the party knowing.
